Step by Step to a Masterpiece

August 9, 2013

One of the most interesting and unnoticed insert sets in Sportkings Series F are the 1933 Sportkings Art Cards.

All of the cards are on-card, hand-drawn by Sprortkings’ artist Gary Kazele.

Gary drew each of the first 24 cards from the original 1933 Sport Kings Gum cards. He drew 9 original versions and a 1/1 gold version.

I am very proud of Gary’s work and if you didn’t know better, your would think they were simply printed cards. but they are not.

Here is the step by step process that Gary used to create these masterpieces.

Collectors who enjoy the Sportkings’ history will want a complete set of these cards.

Super-collectors will try and get the 1/1 gold cards.

Thanks Gary for all your hard work and we will look forward to the second 24 cards in Series G.
