Update from In The Game

November 18, 2012

Thanks for a great Fall Expo

The recently completed Fall Expo in Toronto could not have been better at In The GameLand.

Collectors marveled at my Forever Rivals collection featuring game-used memorabilia from Montreal Canadiens and Toronto Maple Leaf greats including; Patrick Roy, Darryl Sittler, Doug Gilmour, Jacques Plante, Carey Price, Howie Morenz, Terry Sawchuk and more.

“Deal or No” sponsored by Prince Wholesale was again a hit with collectors and many prizes were given out to lucky contestants.

“Shoot to Win” saw us go through six cases of product. Boy there were some good shots at the Expo. Young and old, boys and girls. Next Expo I might have to make the “five hole” a little smaller.

“Spin To Win” made everyone happy, the first 500 to enter the show got a coupon to spin the In The GameLand wheel and everyone won a prize.

The redemptions were also great featuring our latest two products; Forever Rivals and Superlative Hockey Volume III. Redemptions were so strong, we almost ran out of redemption cards.

Raising Funds for Movember

In The Game has committed to raise funds for the Movember cause. On Saturday Spencer Martin signed free autographs at In The GameLand and on Sunday Aaron Ekblad signed for free as well.

A special 5 x 7 card was made of each player and for a $5 donation, collectors could acquire them. Sales were great and our donation for these items will be strong.

Each player kindly signed a team jersey which is now up for auction on eBay with all profits going the Movember charity.

The item number for this auction is 121021684966

The auction number for this item is 121021680745

Bid often and bid a lot, for a great cause.

History of Hockey Art/Memo Cards A Hit!

We brought six different History of Hockey Art/Memo hand-painted cards to the Fall Expo and collectors fell in love with them. They are simply masterpieces and they could be yours mid-December.

Here are two more that were completed since the Expo.

Note only the 1/1 exclusive hand-painted art of Jared Kelley but a piece of Terry Sawchuk game-used Maple Leafs jersey. What a card!

This Jared Kelley 1/1 hand-painted card depicts one of the most important moments in the history of goaltending. Jacques Plante dons a mask. The card also features a piece of a Montreal Canadiens Jacques Plante jersey. A must for collectors of vintage players.

There are 400 1/1 hand-painted cards in the art/memo part of the product, that’s a 1/10 average. There are 10 of each 1/1 hand-painted cards so collecting the entire set will not be impossible.

History of Hockey boxes also feature 1 PSA/DNA authenticated autograph card, 1 Authentic Rookie card authenticated by Beckett and 1 ITG Buy-Back card.

There are 4,000 boxes of History of Hockey and they won’t last long. Call your dealer or distributor to order yours.

Released date is mid-December.

That’s it for now, my next Blog will feature information about Motown Madness coming January 2013.
